Life is a liability
I was thinking about Ikigai the other day. The way I explain it is that it is the balance of four competing forces: passion, profession, giving people what they want, and giving them what they need.
Then I was thinking that this was formulated before our present usurious capitalist times, where being content is harmful. If you are not growing, you are shrinking. Value depreciates rapidly.
Then it occurred to me life is a liability. Human dignity is an inefficiency.
That’s the logic of the regime laid bare.
Suicide is an act of responsibility.
